On March 28 I had the role of being a tourist in the town of Fajardo. I
found the task of going to fajardo hotel INC. I had never been to the place,
for this reason I missed to get, but google map then helped me find the right
location. When I enter to the hotel parking lot I did not know if it was for
visitors or were for employees. I was confused and no one was around to ask. I
parked there and the family of my girlfriend got me. First the hotel staff
greeted me and informed me that I had to pay ten dollars if I just use the pool
and would not stay. After paying the money the staff took me to the pool area
and I was there all day enjoying it. I could see that they had very little
staff. The hotel is not so big, so it must be the reason for having understaffed.
But anyway I felt good; I had a nice time with the family of my girlfriend. .
Puerto Ricans have similar characteristics in our physical and we can recognize
if you're from Puerto Rico. For this reason the treatment of us will be
different, because the staff recognizes if you are from Puerto Rico. But then
came a group of US tourist, and to them was provided a tour guide who took them
and gave him walk through all areas of the hotel. They did not do that. It can
be concluded that it was for the reason that I was only going to go to the pool
and the family of my girlfriends was already in the hotel and knew the area,
however, the other tourists had no family and did not recognize any part of
hotel. For this reason, I can deduce that if I had gone alone to the hotel they
had given me the same treatment as other tourists. I had been guided by all the
facilities and guided me about the hotel and tourist areas near it.

The relationship between Puerto Rico and United States
America has brought benefits to the island, but they give to receive
something in return. I would not say that the United States has brought us
tourism because it is not. If we were independent, we were also tourism. It may
not be as accessible as it is today, but remained tourism. The people like to
travel and see new places and Puerto Rico is a very beautiful place for
tourists.
In the case of comparing old with Puerto Rico, there are some
differences. In the text read, mentioned that tourists felt afraid when
traveling in taxis because they did not know how that person would react.
Puerto Rico is totally Americanized. Many puertorriccan has been influenced by
the cultured of the united states.I am not saying that we are equal, because
both cultures have their origins and even though this island has been
Americanized, we still have the African culture in our blood. Anyway, I have been
never agreed that a country will owns another country, but that is the
situation we live. I am not against the American people, but with the system
implanted in our island. They have much power to control whatever. Finally,
colonial and former military situation of Antigua is very similar to Puerto
Rico, just which Puerto Rico already looks like a US state.

Literay Context Award Ceremony
The literary contest activity was very organized. It began with an
introduction talking about how to improve as a writer and develop to writing
habit. For me it was pleasant to see all participants who won with much joy, and
to those who participated. However, what most caught my attention was the girl
convicted that allow her participate and express her thoughts. Was incredible
listening her talking about the reality of the jail administrator. She also
felt grateful for the opportunity they gave to participate in the literary contest.
. I think it was a contest of integration and see the mindset of our
generation.

Peter Roberts. The Roots of Caribbean Identity: Language, Race and Ecology.
Three quotes:
- I agree with Peter Robert that sex, age, religion and universal
criteria is a way of identity. Also I think that identity has to do with the formation of the
individual makes of himself. The individual learn about his environment, this
implies that he learn about the custom and culture around him. everybody have
different ages, religious but if we live in a demographic place, we going to
develop features from other. We going to learn of the way of act of other. Also we can also learn to have the
same preferences.
(2)Language therefore establishes bonds between all communities of human
beings but at the same time set up barriers between communities. Human beings,
however, are not restricted to use of a single language and cross barriers.
- The language barriers mostly occur when you visit a city that does not
speak the same language as your source. Many people try to defend themselves,
but the pronunciation is not the same, fluency and other aspects are different.
It is also possible that even speak the same language, words have different
meanings. In Puerto Rico all speak the Spanish language, but in different
cities use different words to refer to something that means the same thing. For
this reason, each community has its own language and its own rules.
(3)Sameness among human beings is commonly judged under certain basic
categories-how people look, how they sound, where they were born and bred and
how they behave.
-Many times people judge other by color, by their expressions and the
place were born. There are many criticisms made according to their behavior and
their environment. I think this is discrimination. Not because a person is high,
he will be good at sports. Each person is different and has a different way of
behaving.

El Yunke National Forest
El yunke Peak is a
mountain that is located fully within the boundaries of the El Yunque National
Forest part of the U.S. Forest Service, which is the only tropical
rainforest that belongs to the U.S.
Forest Service. The peak itself is one of the highest in Puerto Rico, standing
at 1,080 meters (3543 feet) above sea level. The peak is nearly always covered
in thin mist and, due to its high humidity, a quick shower develops during some
afternoons. It is one of the most biologically diverse of the national forests
hosting hundreds of animal and plant species, some of which are found only
here.
Culebra, Puerto Rico
Flamenco Beach is
considered the second most beautiful beach in the world by Discover Channel and
by far the most popular beach in Culebra, Puerto Rico. Its white sandy beach
stretches along the entire bay, you will feel the Caribbean sun everywhere.
Flamenco is a great place to snorkle, sunbathe, swim, socialize and camp out.
The beach is easily accessible thus making it a definite stop for most
visitors.There are several kiosks which rent the typical beach accessories;
chairs, umbrellas, tents and other camping gear. Others sell food and drinks,
including the perfectly tropical 'Piña Colada'
The San Sebastián Street Festival
The San Sebastián
Street Festival (Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián) has been an annual event on
Calle San Sebastián in Old San Juan since 1970. San Sebastián (Saint Sebastian)
was a Christian who was martyred for his faith. There is a street on the north
side of Old San Juan named in his honor. The festival is typically held on the
third weekend of January, and runs from Thursday to Sunday. The San Se Festival
has evolved over time, though it still is full of tradition and Puerto Rican
cultural heritage. Mostly, it is a great big party, with people enjoying every
aspect of it. There are lots of live music shows, both traditional and
contemporary. also expect music/dance to happen randomly & spontaneously
throughout the streets, where people join in the song and dance. There are
plenty of dance performances, both folkloric and modern, by professionals and party-goers
alike. And all along the parade routes you will find food, drink, and more than
500 artisans displaying/selling their works.
